From Benjamin Calbert, who would have been in the Class of 1997 or 1998 had Howe not been closed

Hi, there is a bunch of us who keep in contact because of going to Howe together but were forced to graduate from another high school because IPS closed Howe in 1995. I know there are more that want to be Howe proud but can‟t because they didn‟t graduate from Howe because of the closing. It has hit a lot of us personally if we were at Howe for two to three years. For the freshmen it was different because they actually became part of their new school for the last three years. For the rest of us who didn‟t graduate we have memories that can‟t be forgotten and the friendships we formed. Can you address that problem for would-be Howe graduates? Thanks.

(Editor’s comment: Ben, members of the might-have-been Howe Class of 1996 were made “honorary” members of the Alumni Association and their names appear as such in the Thomas Carr Howe High School Alumni Di-rectory 2007.)
